🇪🇺 Regulation and Privacy in Europe
In Europe, regulations impose strict rules regarding the collection of user consent. To comply with GDPR, iAdvize must be declared in your Consent Management Platform (CMP).You can learn more on the official CNIL website.
Before launching your Assistant, make sure you have configured one of the two options below:

1. Recommended Method: Coordinated Management
This method allows you to always display iAdvize to your visitors in full compliance, even if cookies are refused through your CMP.
⚙️ 3-Step Configuration
1. In your CMP:
- Configure consent management for iAdvize and note your vendor ID
- Add iAdvize to the list of vendors
Didomi
- Go to Vendors > Add a vendor
- Search for "iAdvize" in the IAB catalogue or create a custom vendor
- Copy the generated vendor ID

- Go to Cookie Consent > Vendor
- Click on Add a general vendor
- Fill in the fields (name: "iAdvize"), select the relevant sites, regions and categories
- Copy the generated vendor ID

TrustCommander
- Go to TRUST > Categories & Tags > MANAGE VENDORS tab
- Enable the IAB option in TRUST > Options if not already done
- Click on ADD IAB TCF 2.0 VENDORS and search for iAdvize in the list
- Select iAdvize and confirm the addition
- Copy the generated vendor ID

Axeptio
- Adding a custom vendor requires going through their support: contact Axeptio support at help@axeptio.eu or your Customer Success Officer to retrieve the vendor-id
- If iAdvize is already in the IAB TCF 2.0 catalogue, it can be found directly in the list.

2. In iAdvize:
- Go to Settings > Integration > Apps.
- Select your CMP from the list and install it
- Enter the vendor ID.
3. Enable legal consent in Settings > Consent Management > Privacy
This request is useful if your visitors refuse cookies from your CMP when arriving on the site. A consent prompt will then appear in the Shopping Panel, and cookies will be set after consent.
Here is the experience of a visitor who refused cookies in your CMP upon arriving on your site and wants to start a conversation with your Assistant:
If you want to cutomize the consent request message, you can go to Settings > Consent Management > Privacy > Display of Legal Information.
Then, edit it in the desired language.

2. Alternative Method: Centralized Management via Your CMP
This method means that your CMP manages consent without interaction with iAdvize.
Consequence: iAdvize will not be displayed if the user refuses cookies from your CMP.
