This guide helps you modify, publish, or create your engagement strategies.

1. Status

Each engagement strategy displays a status that indicates its current state. 3 statuses are possible:

🟢 Online: the strategy is active and visible to your visitors on your site.
🟠 To be configured: the strategy is incomplete and requires action on your part before being published. Check the configuration by clicking on the 3 dots > Edit to identify missing elements.
⚪ Offline: the strategy is complete but inactive. It is not visible to your visitors on your site. You can publish it by clicking on the 3 dots > Put online.

To modify the status of your strategy, click on the 3 dots > Switch to online or Switch to offline.

2. Create a strategy

Go to the Engagement tab
Click on Create strategy

Widget and conditions

Name your strategy
Choose the page type
Select a widget (this article presents our different widgets)
Select the devices on which your widget will be displayed
If needed, add conditions to personalize the display of your widget.
Conditions are cumulative ("AND" logic).

Special case - Mobile

The Mobile version preview may be misleading as some widgets automatically adapt by displaying a Badge on mobile.

Indeed, when your visitors browse the mobile version of your site, they are often in more of a hurry and are certainly on a smaller screen. Your widget must therefore be present for those who would appreciate help, while being as unobtrusive as possible during their navigation.

The table below shows the rendering depending on your visitor's device.

Example: if you enable Floating Starters in your configuration (desktop and mobile), your visitors on mobile will see a Badge displayed.

Style

In the second tab, customize the style.

For example, for the Conversation Starters widget:

Icon display and color
Title color (Header)
Starters colors
Optional : starters hover state
Fonts (choice of Google Font or your site's font)

In advanced settings:

Corner rounding (if you want rather round or square edges)
Title size
Starter size

NB: Each modification is visible in real time on the preview to your right.
Installing the iAdvize tag is essential to test on your site by clicking on "Test on my site".

Content

On the third tab, define the content displayed by your widget.

For example, for the Conversation Starters widget:

Product catalog (to generate your starters dynamically with AI)
Hook title, displayed above your starters (80 characters max)
Number of starters displayed (between 2 and 5)
Type of starters: AI Question or Manual Question
Action button label

In the advanced settings, you can define a list of forbidden words or expressions that you do not want to appear in your Conversation Starters. They only concern your Conversation Starters and not your Assistant's responses.

Enter one word or expression per line.

Language

If you want to translate your widget content into another language:

Add the following at the end of your URL: ?iAdvizeLanguage=EN

💡 Replace EN with the desired language — for example FR for French, DE for German, etc.

Position

Choose the position of your widget (several possibilities depending on the type of widget chosen)

For embedded Conversation Starters, you can :
-Click on "Pick an element on the page" then select an element from your site

⚠️ For this feature to work, the iAdvize tag must be installed on your site.
If you use a consent banner, make sure you have accepted cookies before starting the selection.

If needed, adjust the margins

Test on my website

The "Test on my website" function at the top right in the preview allows you to preview your widgets directly on your site.

If you don't see your site display or if you cannot select an element:

Verify that the iAdvize tag is properly installed on this page
Make sure iAdvize cookies are accepted on the site.
If your site conditions the loading of the iAdvize tag on cookie acceptance (via a consent banner), the element selection interface will not be displayed until cookies have been accepted. Accept cookies directly from your site's banner before using this feature.

Save / Publish

After completing your configurations, you can according to your needs:

Save: your strategy is saved as a draft. You can edit and publish it later.
Publish: your campaign is activated and visible to your visitors immediately.
