This guide supports you after the onboarding is complete, helping you find, edit, or publish your first Conversation Starters notifications.
1. Prerequisites
1.1. Through Shopify (if applicable)
The onboarding allowed you to:
- Connect your product catalog
- Add helpful content
- Automatically install the iAdvize tag
The tag is essential to access the builder. Without it, you won’t be able to preview your site or position your Conversation Starters.
2. Access your Conversation Starters
- Click on “Engagement” in the main menu
- Go to the “Engagement strategies” section
- Find the row corresponding to product pages (All PDP)
- Click on the three dots, then “Edit”
If you wish, you can also configure and activate your Conversation Starters on your Category Pages.
By default, they are not enabled on this type of page — here’s how to activate them:
- Locate the row corresponding to Product Listing Pages (All PLP)
- Click on the pencil icon next to that row to open the builder and customize your Conversation Starters
- Click on Save and continue, then activate your notification by clicking on the three dots > Switch to online
3. Edit or create a Conversation Starters
The no-code builder includes three successive steps:
3.1. Integration
Choose the position of the notification:
- Click on “Pick an element on the page” and then choose an element on your site
- Or manually paste a CSS selector
3.2. Style
In the second tab, customize:
The colors (header and icon, content, background, border)
The fonts (Google Font or your website’s font)
The corner radius (whether you prefer rounded or square corners)
Font sizes (title and starters)
The hover state
3.3. Content
On the third tab, define:
The product catalog (to generate your starters dynamically with AI)
The header, displayed above your starters (max. 80 characters)
The number of starters displayed (between 2 and 5)
The type of starters: dynamic
(AI-generated) or static
The label of the action button (for a custom question to write)
Once your setup is complete, click on “Save and continue” to return to the iAdvize administration. Once the save is complete, the tab will close automatically and you will be redirected to the main interface.
On Shopify, publishing will automatically activate Conversation Starters on all product pages.
