iAdvize widgets are your visitors’ first points of contact.
This article guides you through the different steps of their creation.
Go to the administration, then Engagement > Widgets Builder and click Create.
Give your notification a clear and descriptive name, for example: Starters PDP, Starters PLP Clothing.
PDP = Product Details Pages / PLP = Product Listing Pages
Then select the page type (product, category, or other):
1. Integration
Choose the type of widget and its position.
For Conversation Starters :
- Embedded: Click on “Pick an element on the page”, then choose an element on your website or manually paste a CSS selector.
- Floating: Position them in the bottom right or bottom left corner.
In the advanced settings, adjust the margins around your widget.
Remember to test the display on both desktop and mobile to ensure your widget is correctly positioned and doesn’t overlap any key buttons or information on your site
2. Style
In the second tab, customize the style. For example, for starters :
The colors (header and icon, content, background, border)
The fonts (Google Font or your website’s font)
The corner radius (whether you prefer rounded or square corners)
Font sizes (title and starters)
The hover state
3. Content
On the third tab, define the content. For example, for starters :
The product catalog (to generate your starters dynamically with AI)
The language
The header, displayed above your starters (max. 80 characters)
The number of starters displayed (between 2 and 5)
The type of starters: dynamic
(AI-generated) or static
The label of the action button (for a custom question to write)
In the advanced settings, you can define a list of forbidden words or phrases that you don’t want to appear in your Conversation Starters. These apply only to your Conversation Starters, not to your Assistant’s responses.
Enter one word or phrase per line.
Once your configuration is complete, click “Save and continue” to return to the administration.
